YOUR PASTOR NEEDS YOU NOW!!!
It became a matter of urgency to make this article our news update. And as you read this article do nothing else but spend a little time to pray for your pastor.
This may be one of the biggest investment you may put in building God’s House and kingdom.
Why do I say so? If you have being thinking that your pastor is a super man so, he does not need your prayers. You may have well being living in a fools paradise.
Your pastor, No matter how spiritual he may be is a human with blood running in his veins and limited also by the flesh. He is not as perfect as you may think he is. Neither is he wearing a special bullet proofs different from the type other believers wear that shields him from temptation. The same way he teaches you to flee temptation is some way he flees or he may just be grounded as some have been.
Have we not heard of some terrible acts committed by men of God? We certainly have. Have we seen and heard of some of them folding ministry and God’s call on their lies for other ventures? We certainly have.
What do some people do when they hear and see servants of God go into error? They either mock or take it with a Pinch of salt. To others it is a normal occurrence. So, it does not awake any thing in them.
According to the magazine I mentioned I read while beginning this article, some of our pastors are frustrated in ministry, have children not patterned after the gospel they preach and other negative things were enumerated. The percentage was as high as 97% for a particular continent. In conclusion, the writer of the article called for all believers to set up a prayer altar for pastors especially the one whose authority you are under.
Let’s quickly run through reasons why you must pray always for your pastor.
Your pastor, is the shepherd of the flock of which you are one of in the assemble where you worship.
If he is smitten by a satanic attach it is for your sake. Satan is our enemy and does not want any good our way.
If Satan can destabilise your pastor he can get to you. God forbid it! See Zech. 13 vs 17, Mathew 26 vs 13 and Mark 14 vs 4.
Genesis 11 had a remarkable story of a people set out to build a city for themselves. They succeeded but only failed because it was a dream they had for selfish gratification.
I would love you to know that where ever assembly you find yourself worshiping God put you there for a purpose, join force with the pastor there to build a work that will win souls for the kingdom and glorify God.
You should work for God along side the servant of God in your place of worship and nor for Satan.
Most believers are so quick to condemn and even judge a servant of God. One will begin to ask who really are we working for God or Satan!
I challenge you to work for God. Pray for His Servants and His work on earth will grow.
You won’t believe this but it’s true in most case we are the focus of our pastors. It is because they are so focused on impacting our lives that they forget attending to their own spiritual need which eventually set them for a prey.
You see your pastor won’t become a prey if you shield him enough with your prayers and support of love.
Having known this, why not join me daily to pray for these special people of God. Below is a prayer list to guide you.
1. Pray that the gates of hell will not prevail against your pastor and church. Mathew 16 vs 18.
2. Pray that the passion of your pastor be not derailed from loving and serving God to seeking material possession. Mathew. 6 vs 33.
3. Pray for your pastors family members, His wife and children. Pray that peace will reign in his home and his children will grow up in a godly way. Ps127 vs 1-2.
